Dunkirk opens as hundreds of thousands of British and Allied troops are surrounded by enemy forces. Trapped on the beach with their backs to the sea, they face an impossible situation as the enemy closes in.
The story unfolds on land, sea and air. RAF Spitfires engage the enemy in the skies above the Channel, trying to protect the defenceless men below.
Meanwhile, hundreds of small boats manned by both military and civilians are mounting a desperate rescue effort, risking their lives in a race against time to save even a fraction of their army.
Dunkirk features a multigenerational ensemble cast, including Fionn Whitehead, Tom Glynn-Carney, Jack Lowden, Harry Styles, Aneurin Barnard, James D’Arcy and Barry Keoghan, with Kenneth Branagh, Cillian Murphy, Mark Rylance and Tom Hardy.
Dunkirk looks amazing on 4KHD. This is one of the first films that I’ve seen on 4KHD having only recently upgraded. Colours are brilliant, the image is sharper than I’ve ever experienced and the contrast is perfect. It’s a thrill to watch this film in 4KHD as it is the perfect sort of film to watch in the very best quality possible and this is exactly what 4KHD offers. The film and the image and sound are all truly spectacular.
