Filles perdues, cheveux gras : Movie Review

Filles perdues, cheveux gras
Directed by Claude Duty
Starring : Marina Foïs, Amira Casar and Olivia Bonamy

Elodie, Natasha and Marianne are three lost girls. Elodie has no job, Natasha has no boyfriend and Marianne has no luck. .. so, they're unhappy !

The main theme of the movie seems to be sad. .. yes, it does ! But the way the director has chosen to tell the story is very strange. Indeed, Filles perdues, cheveux gras is a musical. But the songs aren't as sad as Dancer in the Dark (2000)'s songs. The lyrics are particulary stupid but very funny ! That makes of that movie a particularly film, helped by the main actresses' talent. Amira Casar and Olivia Bonamy are great, but Marina Foïs is just exceptional ! Each word she says becomes fun. .. she's so talented ! The tone of the movie is a silly one. If we has to compare that movie to an other, I think it would be impossible. .. Even La cité de la peur or La bostella aren't so weird. The so particular silly side of that film could makes of it a worship work !
Filles perdues, cheveux gras is a cheap production. It maybe explains the creative side of the director. The theme of the movie, if it would have been treated like any other comedy, would have made of that movie a banal one. .. and that movie isn't common !
