SNOOP DOGG - Dee Loc/Executive Producer
Dee Loc is an inner-city slacker who works a side hustle selling contraband and hooking up with the ladies while still on the clock at his low-stress job at THE WASH.
Snoop Dogg's silky raps came to epitomize the '90s gangsta rap scene when Dr. Dre introduced him to the world in "The Chronic" in 1992. The album about life balanced on the edge of peril and pleasure took the record industry by storm and rode the top of the record charts. He reprised his laconic lyrics and produced "Doggystyle" in 1993 which became the first debut album to enter the charts at No. 1. His second album "The Doggfather" proved to be equally popular in 1996. Two years later, his "Da Game Is to Be Sold, Not to Be Told," debuted at No. 1 and sold over half a million copies its first week. Snoop dominated the charts with his last album "The Last Meal" which hit number one on Billboard's R&B/Hip Hop listing.
A rapper turned actor, Snoop can soon be seen in BONES, Antoine Fuqua's TRAINING DAY, opposite Denzel Washington and was in John Singleton's BABY BOY before that. Snoop will contribute to the soundtrack of THE WASH, which will be released by Dr. Dre's Aftermath and Snoop's Doggie Style labels.
DR. DRE - Sean/Executive Producer
Sean is Dee Loc's roommate and boss at THE WASH. Sean's seriousness on the job is beginning to drive a wedge between the two friends.
Dr. Dre has been credited with pioneering gangsta rap and a self-styled sound called G-Funk which has made him the impresario of hip-hop. He got his break in the music industry with the vaunted trio NWA. He broke away from the group in 1992 to found Death Row Records with Suge Knight, and the label quickly became the dominant force in hip-hop in the mid-'90s thanks to his solo debut "The Chronic" which won two Grammys and was the biggest selling album in 1993. Dre's label launched the careers of Warren G. and Snoop Dogg, grossing $75 million in 1994.
For nearly four years, Dr. Dre's sound reigned at the top of the charts. But he ended his partnership with Death Row just before the whole empire collapsed in late 1996. He formed a new record label, Aftermath, and released "Dr. Dre Presents The Aftermath" later in the year. In 1999, Dre released his second solo album "2001" which quickly shot to the top of the charts and earned him a 2000 Grammy nomination.
Although Dr. Dre has produced soundtracks for such movies as NATURAL BORN KILLERS and DEEP COVER, he makes his acting debut in Antoine Fuqua's TRAINING DAY. He will also executive produce the film's soundtrack for release on his Aftermath label. He's also the executive producer on THE WASH and will contribute to the soundtrack.
ANGELL CONWELL - Antoinette
Antoinette is the sexy, gold-digging cashier who keeps the guys in line at the car wash.
Angell recently appeared as "Kim" in John Singleton's BABY BOY, as the love interest to Omar Gooding's character. The movie also stars Tyrese, Ving Rhames and Snoop Dogg.
In television, Angell has guest-starred on such shows as "NYPD Blue," "The Parkers," "3rd Rock From The Sun," 'MTV's Undressed," "Sabrina the Teenage Witch," and most recently on "Moesha. " In addition, she has a recurring role as "Kianna" on NBC's "City Guys. " She recently completed filming a Disney pilot titled "Virtually Casey" playing the series regular role of "Natalie. "
TOMMY "TINY" LISTER, JR. - Bear
Bear is an ex-convict who keeps the laughs coming with his customer screw-ups.
Tommy "Tiny" Lister, Jr. is mostly known as the villain you'd love to hate. He portrayed the hulking neighborhood bully, "Debo," in the box-office hit and cult classic FRIDAY opposite Ice Cube and reprised the role in the sequel NEXT FRIDAY. Some of Tiny's other film credits include THE FIFTH ELEMENT, JACKIE BROWN and LITTLE NICKY.
A veteran of many television shows, Tiny could be seen in the HBO telefilm "Judgment Day" starring Ice-T, Coolio and Mario Van Peebles. The telefilm represents his debut as an executive producer. Tiny returns to his wrestling roots in a children's morning TV pilot titled "On The Ropes
ALEX THOMAS - Jimmy
Jimmy is one of the home-boys at the wash who struggles to make ends meet.
Alex made his television debut as a dancer on "Soul Train," headlining as one of the show's regulars for five years. He also danced for one year on "American Bandstand. " His creative style came to the attention of Rosie Perez who later hired him as an assistant choreographer for the Fly Girl Dancers on "In Living Color. "
Also a writer and stand-up comedian, Alex was asked by Will Smith to work on "Fresh Prince Of Bel Air" after seeing one performance at the Laugh Factory in Hollywood. Smith later called upon his writing services to do punch-ups for his scenes on MEN IN BLACK and INDEPENDENCE DAY. Alex continues to do his comedy stand-up, opening for such prestigious shows as Dr. Dre's 49-city "Up In Smoke" tour.
GEORGE WALLACE - Mr. Washington
Mr. Washington is the cantankerous owner of the neighborhood car wash.
A veteran actor and stand-up comedian, George got his start in entertainment as a writer for the "Redd Foxx Show. " His moonlighting work as a stand-up comedian helped him to cross over to film where he has co-starred in several motion pictures including BATMEN FOREVER, LITTLE NICKY, A RAGE IN HARLEM, POSTCARDS FROM THE EDGE and several more.
In television, he boasts a number of guest-starring credits including "Seinfeld," "In The Heat Of The Night," "Tall Hopes" and "The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air," just to name a few.
George reunites with writer/director D. J. Pooh on THE WASH. The two had worked together on Pooh's directorial debut, 3 STRIKES.
BRUCE BRUCE - DeWayne
DeWayne is the security guard and nephew of Mr. Washington.
The native of Atlanta, Georgia is a stand-up comedy veteran whose improvisational talents and spontaneous wit have captured the attention of audiences around the country. He has appeared on BET's "Comic View" and has been a featured performer at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, Canada and at Atlanta's Laffapalooza festival, in addition to headlining comedy clubs throughout the U. S.
