With a box office of over £29.5 million it is the biggest single format release of 2010 so far and has exceeded both its predecessors in the series. Now The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is coming to DVD and Blu-ray on December 6th 2010.

The third film in the Twilight saga based on Stephenie Meyer’s blockbuster book series, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is packed with passion, action and suspense as Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse cast

Now international superstars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are back reprising their roles in the eternal triangle as Bella Swan, Edward Cullen and Jacob Black.

Rising stars Ashley Greene, Kellen Lutz, Nikki Reed, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, and Jackson Rathbone also return to the action as the immortal Cullen clan, alongside Billy Burke as Charlie Swan.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse introduces newcomer Xavier Samuel as newborn vampire Riley who is set to incite terror on the streets of Seattle and later Forks as the lover of redheaded Victoria, played by Bryce Dallas Howard. Also returning is Dakota Fanning as part of Vampire royalty: the Volturi.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is directed by British film maker David Slade (40 Days of Night, Hard Candy) from a screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse DVD and Blu-ray extras

Over three hours of amazing extras including two commentaries, the first from Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, and the second from Stephenie Meyer and producer Wyck Godfrey. The extras also include deleted and extended scenes with audio commentary from the director David Slade, a six part making of documentary, a photo gallery, Edward Fast Forward, Jacob Fast Forward and music videos from Muse and Metric which both feature on the film’s bestselling soundtrack.
