Hoodwinked Too! Hood VS. Evil : Movie Review

One of the more depressing, desensitizing experiences I’ve had in a theater, Hoodwinked Too! Hood Vs. Evil feels as computer-generated as its creepy, talking-ceramic-toy style of animation. The sequel to the Weinstein Company’s 2005 animation gambit, the movie is a fairy-tale pastiche that drops stale references to films like Goodfellas and Silence of the Lambs until you’re sure you’ve stepped inside of a fractal loop of cutting-room-floor CGI-scapes and IMDb one-liners. Red Riding Hood (Hayden Panettiere, replacing Anne Hathaway) is training to be a girl warrior, when her granny (Glenn Close) is kidnapped by an old rival (Joan Cusack).
