Australian International Documentary Conference
The AIDC is one of the largest recurrent screen industry conferences in Australia averaging over 500 national and international delegates. It provides a market place for Australian documentary product for national and international buyers and sellers, showcases the work of Australian and international documentary makers, and creates a forum to discuss content, craft, technology and future directions. From 17 to 20 February 2003, the 8th Australian International Documentary Conference and Australian DocuMart will be held in Paradise. The 2003 host of the AIDC is the regional documentary community of the Northern Rivers in NSW, Australia. This area is one of the world's most stunning coastal tourist destinations known for its exquisite beaches, pristine rainforest the tropical village resort of Byron Bay and regional business centre of Ballina. It is promising to be the largest AIDC to date, building on the success of past Conferences. Based around the theme - Outside the Frame - AIDC 2003 will focus on an expanding vision of the documentary in relation to form, content, practice and markets.
