"Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia" (SSFF & ASIA) is a film festival that has been held every June in the Omotesando area of ??Harajuku, Tokyo since its birth in 1999. As one of the largest international short film festivals in Asia, more than 10,000 films are gathered from all over the world every year. It consists of various genres such as "Environment," "Tourism," "CG Animation," and "Nonfiction," including official competitions (Japan, Asia International, and International). In addition, the Grand Prix work will be a nomination candidate for the Academy Awards short film category next year. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the festival in 2018, the Grand Prix film was named the "George Lucas Award" in the name of director George Lucas.
