Bryce Dallas Howard set to make directorial debut with Sorta Like A Rock Star.

Bryce Dallas Howard is set to follow in her father Ron Howard’s footsteps by stepping behind the camera, with Variety reporting that the actress is attached to make her feature directorial debut with an adaptation of Matthew Quick's 2010 novel Sorta Like a Rock Star.

The story revolves around "an optimistic high school student, Amber Appleton, who secretly lives in her mom’s school bus during her senior year after an altercation at home." The project was originally set up at Fox Searchlight, but is currently without a distributor.

Howard, who has recently wrapped production on Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, has previously directed a number of short films, along with an M-80 music video starring Lily Collins.
