Josh Brolin Joins Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya in Denis Villeneuve's 'Dune'


Josh Brolin has joined the cast of Denis Villeneuve's Dune reboot. Brolin is set to play Gurney Halleck, previously portrayed by Patrick Stewart in the 1984 adaptation of Frank Herbert's 1965 novel.

Brolin joins the previously cast Oscar Isaac and Rebecca Ferguson who will play Duke Leto Atreides and Lady Jessica. Stellan Skarsgård will play Baron Harkonnen, Dave Bautista will play his murderous nephew, and Charlotte Rampling will play the Reverend Mother Mohiam.

The film is based on Frank Herbert's 1965 novel of the same name. The story takes place thousands of years into the future where humans have spread out and populated different planets. A young boy named Paul Atreides develops special powers and becomes the leader of a planet called Arrakis to protect the inhabitants from intruders.
