Elisabeth Moss In Talks For The Invisible Man.

Elisabeth Moss is in consideration for a role in Leigh Whannell's Invisible Man.

Leigh Whannell is going to write and direct the movie and now we've learned that the studio is looking to cast Elisabeth Moss in it.

According to Variety, the actress is in early negotiations, but if she is cast, she will star in the film. There's no word on who exactly she will be playing, but there's always the chance she could end up playing The Invisible Woman.

Previously, Johnny Depp was attached to star in a reboot for The Invisible Man, prior to Universal hiring Whannell to create his own vision of the classic story. Word is Depp is no longer involved with the project, and another actor will be portraying the titular transparent individual.

The first pic in Uni's reboot, The Mummy, starring Tom Cruise bombed with $95M. The remake cost a reported $125M, and made $409.2M worldwide, less than 20% of that from the Us. Uni reportedly will not keep Invisible Man as part of a greater interconnected "Dark Universe" as initially planned.
