Amanda Seyfried and Zac Efron set for animated 'Scooby Doo' feature.


Zac Efron and Amanda Seyfried have joined the cast of the upcoming animated Scooby-Doo film. They will provide the voices of Fred and Daphne respectively.

The feature, which will be directed by Tony Cervone, will see the team partner up with other characters in the Hanna-Barbera universe to save the world from the evil Dick Dastardly.

Will Forte will play Shaggy, Gina Rodriguez is Velma, Tracy Morgan is Captain Caveman, and Frank Welker will reprise the voice of ol’ Scoobs. Welker was the voice-over for the mutt in the 1969-1970 series ‘Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!’

The new Scooby-Doo movie is set for release in May 2020 and will see “the Mystery Inc. gang join forces with other heroes of the Hanna-Barbera universe to save the world from Dick Dastardly and his evil plans…and this time, we are told, the threat is real.
