Salma Hayek may join the Marvel Universe.

The actress is in early talks to join Marvel's The Eternals, which Chloe Zhao is set to direct later this year.

There are no details regarding who Hayek will be playing in the film, but that won't stop the fans from speculating who it could be! Some of the characters who have been rumored to appear in the film include Karen, Hercules, Druig, Piper, Forgotten One, Ikaris, Makkari, Starfox, and Zuras.

Angelina Jolie reportedly was courted for the lead female role, presumably as Sersi. Since the addition of Jolie, Marvel has found Game of Thrones' Richard Madden to be the male lead Ikaris, while Kumail Nanjiani and Ma Dong-seok have each reportedly joined the cast in unspecified roles. Most recently, rumors circulated that Keanu Reeves could be in contention for a role too.

Hayek has shown great range over the years, earning praise for her dramatic turn as Frida Khalo in Frida. She recently had a role in The Hitman's Bodyguard opposite of Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson and will return for The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard next year.
