Lady Gaga has teamed up with director Ridley Scott for her next movie, her first big screen role since A Star Is Born. The upcoming film will chronicle the murder of Guccio Gucci's grandson Maurizio Gucci, who also spearheaded the Italian fashion house, and focus on the Gucci family dynasty.
Gaga will be at the center of the assassination story, portraying Patrizia Reggiani, the ex-wife of Maurizio Gucci (the grandson of founder Guccio Gucci). Nicknamed the "Black Widow," Reggiani was tried and convicted of arranging for her ex-spouse to be killed - on the steps of his office, might I add - back in the '90s, and she spent 18 years in jail before being released three years ago.
The project is the first Lady Gaga has attached herself to since her Best Actress nomination in "A Star Is Born". Roberto Bentivegna is penning the script based on the Sara Gay Forden book "The House of Gucci".
Scott will first direct "The Last Duel" starring Matt Damon, Adam Driver, Jodie Comer and Ben Affleck, and will then quickly move onto this. Giannina Scott produces.
