Oscar Nominee Blasts Hollywood's "Industrial" Output

An Oscar-nominated Icelandic director has lashed out at Hollywood, saying that studio movies "are good examples of industrial films. They also pollute cinegoers minds." As reported by today's (Wednesday) Times of India, Fridrik Thor Fridriksson (Children of Nature) told a New Delhi audience that studio execs allow directors "very limited or no space to express their feelings ... nor space for experimenting." On the other hand, Fridriksson had much praise for "Bollywood." "With American films you go out and forget," he said, "but with Indian film, it stays in your mind."
