Viewers Turn Away From Michael Richards

NBC's The Michael Richards Show, which defied critics' and analysts' expectations by producing strong ratings for its opening (9.2/14) last week despite poor reviews, saw the bottom fall out of its ratings Tuesday night. According to Nielsen Research, Richards' ratings plummeted 25 percent to a 7.0/12 as it was clobbered by ABC's Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, which scored a 12.2/19 and CBS's JAG, which grabbed a 9.9/16. Once again, the highest-rated show of the night was Frasier, although its 13.4/20 was well off the 20.2/28 that it scored for its season opener a week earlier.
