Allen Had Written Movie About His Life, Son Says


Bill Allen, son of Steve Allen, who died Monday night at age 78, has told the New York Post that his father was working on a movie about his life at the time of his death. In a note to Post TV columnist Michael Starr, Allen said that the film will be completed. "We haven't sold it yet," Allen wrote, "though we are confident it will be of interest to many of his fans and serve as a historical piece on the business. Meanwhile, cable network A&E said Wednesday that it will reprise Biography Steve Allen: Hi-Ho Steverino on Nov. 4.
