Producer Rick McCallum says that, notwithstanding the use of digital cameras, it will take three years, from beginning to end, to make Star Wars: Episode II. In a statement for "Homing Beacon," the official newsletter of Starwars.com, McCallum said Thursday, "There is a misconception that the use of digital cameras will allow the film to be completed quite early, but Episode II is so complex that it will require the full three-year time frame common to all Star Wars films. ... It seems like a long way away, but every day is critical for us."
