MTV's The Real World, which spawned such shows as Big Brother and Survivor, will return to New York for its 10th season, the Viacom-owned channel said Wednesday.
Brian Graden, MTV's president of programming, told today's (Thursday) New York Daily News, "It's a self-renewing franchise. There's no other drama where you can introduce new characters and settings every year and get away with it."
Graden said that New York had been selected for the 10th anniversary to remind viewers of the show's "roots."
