ABC has agreed to pay $35 million and Turner Broadcasting's TBS channel, an additional $10 million for TV rights to the movie version of Charlie's Angels, the Hollywood Reporter reported today (Monday), citing unnamed sources. Calling it one of the richest film rights sales of the year, the trade paper said that ABC will have the initial rights to air the movie twice beginning in mid-2003, at which point TBS will get the film.
