Two everyday television mainstays have announced that they will be retiring in 2001. CNN's Bernard Shaw said Friday that he will be stepping down as a lead anchor at the news channel. And Fred Rogers said on Saturday that he will be leaving the neighborhood of public television. Mister Rogers' Neighborhood has aired on PBS since 1968. Repeats of the program will continue to air.
