Another Setback For Superman.

SUPERMAN star CHRISTOPHER REEVE has suffered another setback in his determined efforts to walk again.

Since falling from a horse in 1995 47-year-old Reeve has been confined to a wheelchair with the result that his bones have become
very brittle.

Reeve was being helped out of his wheelchair by a friend when he fell and broke his thigh bone. Taken to University of California at Los Angeles Medical Centre, Reeve had to spend five days in intensive care.

Reeve has stated his ambition is to walk again by his 50th birthday in September 2002. He says, "It was a thing I put forward as a way to motivate the scientists. We all do better when we have a specific goal."
