Movie queen ELIZABETH TAYLOR is splashing out $100,000 (œ66,600) to decorate a room - in her local hospital.

According to America's THE STAR magazine, the veteran actress has told pals she spends so much time in Los Angeles' CEDARS SINAI MEDICAL CENTRE - she wants to make a room fit for a movie star. So she's spending huge amounts of cash to spruce up one of the VIP suites.

A source says, "Liz has even instructed the staff to let less fortunate patients stay in the luxurious hospital room at no additional cost whenever she isn't there."
