Fox Delays Debut Of New Shows

The ever-struggling Fox-TV has overhauled the timetable for its new show debuts, pushing two of them back until midseason in 2001, revamping others and launching most of the remainder after post-season baseball telecasts, the Wall Street Journal observed today (Friday). The move, the paper commented, "will either pay off big or put Fox behind the eight ball if rivals get a strong start." The two shows being pushed back until early next year include Schimmel, starring comedian Robert Schimmel and the drama Night Visions. The WSJ observed that two other Fox shows, The Lone Gunmen and an untitled drama from Michael Crichton, also won't start until next year.
