ALLY McBEAL stars ROBERT DOWNEY JR, PORTIA DI ROSSI and ANNE HECHE turned out pets in hand to support their costume designer YANA SYRKIN's new boutique FIFI AND ROMEO.

Having successfully clothed the cast of the hit legal drama for the past few years, Syrkin has now turned her hand to designing outfits for their pets.

Di Rossi - who already has a number of Fifi and Romeo sweaters for her pet pooch BEAN - turned up to the Los Angeles shop hoping to pick up some other goodies for her dog. She says, "She's pretty close to the most important thing in my life. I already carry her around in a bag designed by Yana, they're great. "I love treating Bean, but I would draw the line at wearing a matching outfit with her!"

Ally McBeal newcomer Downey Jr also showed up to support his "good friend" Yana, surround by a group of five burley friends who protected him from the frantic autograph hunters and photographers. Syrkin adds, "It's great to get this support. We're all good friends off the show as well as on the show. It's really a great atmosphere."
