SCREAM star DAVID ARQUETTE is a huge wrestling fan - and once even toyed with getting into the ring professionally.

But working alongside real professional wrestlers for his movie, READY TO RUMBLE, made him realise how much it really takes to reach the top of the wrestling ladder.

Arquette trained with champion wrestlers DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE, BILL GOLDBERG and STEVE 'STING' BORDEN for the film set in the world of WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING. The actor says wrestling is "fun" and "exhilarating", but he was "amazed at how much training it takes to do what they do, how easy they make it look and how many secrets there are behind it".

He says being allowed behind the scenes of the WCW was like being allowed to join a "secret society". (RGS/WNWUN)
