SILENCE OF THE LAMBS star JODIE FOSTER has been showing just how great she feels about motherhood.

The Oscar-winning star was spotted dashing around a park near her Hollywood home, chasing two-year-old son CHARLES. In quieter moments the pair sat with friends and ate a picnic.

An onlooker says, "They seemed to be having a super time. They were laughing and smiling. They look to have a really close bond."

Jodie is believed to have conceived Charles through artificial insemination, and it's rumoured she has already chosen a man to act as a sperm donor for a second child.
