Television news organizations on Wednesday were wrestling with the question of how best to present the audio tape of the U.S. Supreme Court proceedings over the Florida vote count due Friday.
On Tuesday, the high court, reversing previous policy, agreed to release the entire tape immediately upon conclusion of the hearings. Reporting on the court's decision, today's (Thursday) New York Daily News commented: "To cover this remarkable development in this most important story, television will essentially transform itself into ... Radio."
