ANTONIO BANDERAS and MELANIE GRIFFITH have dispelled reports their marriage is in trouble by buying a new home - right next door to their Hancock Park mansion in Los Angeles, California.

The couple have spent $1.3 million (£866,000) for the new property, which was formerly part of the estate they already owned, until the lot was split in the 1950s.

The new ranch-style house features five bedrooms and a knotty- pine panelled living room. The couple's two-lot property now covers just over an acre (0.4 hectares) of land. Griffith and Banderas bought the main residence in 1999 for $4.2 million (£2.8 million). (KL/LAT/RGS)
