COURTNEY LOVE has signed up to star as turn-of-the-century Broadway star TEXAS GUINAN in a new biopic.

The showgirl, real name MARY LOUISE CECELIA GUINAN, lived a colourful life and died in 1933 of amoebic dysentery. Love, who is reported to have been interest in the project after reading about Guinan's life, will lead the cast in HELLO SUCKERS.(KL/WNWC/RGS)
