Mel Gibson has told USA Today columnist Jeannie Williams that he still hopes to direct Robert Downey Jr. in Hamlet. "I only want to do it with him. That's what's exciting to me," Gibson told Williams.
Prior to Downey's recent arrest on drug charges, the play had been scheduled to open in Los Angeles next month. Speaking of Downey's current problems, Gibson said, "He's gonna be OK. He's got a good heart. Everybody falls. He just drew the wrong number."
