Superman Publisher Dead At 100


Jack S. Liebowitz, the comic-book publisher who originally gave life to Superman, died Monday in Great Neck, NY at the age of 100, the New York Times reported today (Wednesday). The Times noted in its obituary that Liebowitz became a member of the board of Warner Communications (later Time Warner) in 1967 and came to his office every day until he was over 90.
