Hurley Escapes Acting Ban

Gorgeous ESTEE LAUDER model and actress ELIZABETH HURLEY has narrowly escaped a life ban from acting in Hollywood for strikebreaking.

Instead the sexy CHRISTABEL star was fined $100,000 (£66,666) for crossing a SCREEN ACTORS GUILD (SAG) picket line in Los Angeles last summer (00).

Elizabeth, 35, was labelled a "scab" after she filmed an Estee Lauder advertisement during a five-month strike by SAG for higher pay.

The AUSTIN POWERS: INTERNATIONAL MAN OF MYSTERY beauty claimed that she never got a union letter telling her of the strike because the stamp did not cover the postage and felt "victimised" after accusations that she deliberately crossed the picket line. She said, "I am deeply disappointed that the trial board disregarded the evidence showing that I never received notice of the strike. I did not gain financially by filming the commercial as I have an all-in deal." (TM/WNTMI/WNTST/PDD)
