Nielsen And Nielsen: Together Again


In a deal that would bring Nielsen Media Research and ACNielsen under the same roof again, VNU, the Dutch-based tradepaper publisher (it owns the Hollywood Reporter and Billboard, among others) which bought Nielsen Research last year for $2.5 billion will pay another $2.3 billion for its sibling. Nielsen Research is best known for its TV ratings system; ACNielsen, for retail data.
