What Women Want Becomes Biggest Comedy Ever In Australia
Mel Gibson's What Women Want has set a first-week record for a comedy at the Australian box office. The film earned an estimated $2.67 million on its opening weekend and $4.03 million during its first seven days. The total represents the fifth biggest opening ever for any movie in Australia, behind Star Wars: Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, Independence Day, Mission: Impossible 2 and Gladiator.
