SHARON STONE is to be dropped from BASIC INSTINCT 2, according to America's NEW YORK POST newspaper.
The CASINO Oscar-nominee accepted $15 million (£10 million) to star in the project after refusing for years to reprise the role of CATHERINE TRAMMELL - but now it's rumoured the film's producers are about to dump her for a younger, sexier version.
They believe that they'll then be able to snag a younger and sexier leading man. Although the studio and Sharon Stone's spokesman deny the rumours, the New York Post claims Stone may be preparing a lawsuit against the movie's makers to secure her salary, since her contract stipulates that she be paid the money even if she doesn't play the part.
