Survivor producer Mark Burnett has sharply criticized Fox's Temptation Island, which several writers have described as a Survivor-wannabe.

Speaking to members of the Television Critics Association in Pasadena Monday, Burnett remarked: "I think sex sells ... and I won't ever make a show like that. Never, ever. ... All my shows relate to adventure, and I think that imitation is the highest form of flattery."

Besides Survivor, Burnett also produces the annual Eco-Challenge, which, after five years, is moving from the Discovery Channel to USA.
