Hollywood babe CAMERON DIAZ is to star alongside NOTTING HILL star HUGH GRANT in a love story based on two tennis players competing at Wimbledon.

The 28-year-old actress bears a resemblance to the top-ranked Russian player ANNA KOURNIKOVA but will play an American in the film to appease US audiences. Hugh will inevitably find himself being compared to the British number one seed, TIM HENMAN.

It had been thought that the 40-year-old actor, who has just finished filming BRIDGET JONES'S DIARY, was considered too old to play the role of a no-hoper who miraculously makes it to the final. Scriptwriter MARK LEVIN says, "We want to do it while Hugh's still young enough to be comfortable with the athleticism of the role." (TM/WNSEX/PDD)
