Former Miami-Dade Circuit Court Judge Marilyn Milian is set to begin presiding over The People's Court beginning March 12, the show's producers, Warner Bros. TV, announced Tuesday.

She will replace Judge Jerry Sheindlin, who, in his second season on the court show, witnessed its ratings fall well below those garnered by his predecessor, former New York Mayor Ed Koch. They were also outdistanced -- by a wide margin -- by his wife, who headlines Paramount's Judge Judy.
