ROBERT DOWNEY, JR has been treated with clinical depression and is taking medication for the condition.

The troubled ALLY MCBEAL star admits it's the first time he has been taking prescription drugs for his psychiatric problem. Friends also claim the star is attending daily recovery meetings and is even starting to help other addicts in peer counselling sessions.
