Britain's Top Soccer Club And N.Y. Yankees Team Up

Manchester United, Britain's biggest soccer team, which trades on the London stock exchange, and the New York Yankees are expected to announce a global alliance in New York today (Wednesday) that would, in part, call for the creation of a new worldwide cable/satellite network, the London Daily Mail reported. Reports about the potential deal sent shares in Manchester United soaring in early trading -- up more than 10 percent over Tuesday's close.
