Tom And Nicole Prepare For Divorce War
LATEST: TOM CRUISE and NICOLE KIDMAN's "friendly" divorce has quickly descended into all-out war - after they each hired a top lawyer to fight for their fortune.
The pair announced on Monday (05FEB01) they were splitting after 10 years together and by Wednesday (07FEB01), TOP GUN hunk Cruise had filed for divorce. Now both stars have called in "celebrity" lawyers in a bid to get as much as they can of their estimated $450 million (œ300 million) fortune. Tom, 38, has hired Los Angeles-based heavyweight DENNIS WASSER, while TO DIE FOR star Nicole has plumped for New York's finest WILLIAM BESLOW.
Wasser has represented the likes of MICHAEL DOUGLAS' ex-wife DIANDRA and JOANNE WHALLEY KILMER while Beslow has represented DEMI MOORE, MIA FARROW and British Royal SARAH FERGUSON in high-profile cases.
