Hollywood movie star KURT RUSSELL burst into tears as he led GOLDIE HAWN's daughter KATE HUDSON down the aisle at her New Year's Eve (31DEC00) wedding to rocker CHRIS ROBINSON.

Russell, who has looked on the ALMOST FAMOUS star as his own daughter since moving in with her mother GOLDIE HAWN nearly 20 years ago, says he was surprised to find himself so emotional at the Aspen, Colorado, America wedding. He says, "It just cracked me, I was completely gone which is not like me. "I just couldn't stop seeing flashes of her at three or four or five and six and ten and life was going by. It's the bittersweet of it, and there's a large part of you that just wants to go back to that."

And Russell adds that the ceremony even made him consider cementing his relationship with Hawn by walking down the aisle himself. He says, "For the first time ever I thought about it, because Goldie and I just live together and have a good time, but for the first time I thought about it then." (LE/WNV/CPT)
