Heart-throb JOAQUIN PHOENIX is anxiety-free before award shows - he's too busy feeling sorry for huge movie stars like TOM HANKS.
The GLADIATOR star was nominated for a SCREEN ACTOR'S GUILD AWARD at last night's (11MAR01) prestigious ceremony in Los Angeles - but claims he has no qualms about being in the public eye because he's not that famous. He quips, "I'm a bit nervous, but I'm alright. I'm pretty accustomed to this kind of thing. "Tom Hanks probably gets so nervous he can't walk. I feel so bad for him. But for me it's a breeze."
