Kate Hudson's Oscar Worries

ALMOST FAMOUS star KATE HUDSON is beset with OSCAR anxieties - but not about her own nomination.

The stunning blonde has been nominated for the Best Supporting Actress gong for her role as PENNY LANE in the rock'n'roll movie, but admits she's more accustomed to worrying about her mother GOLDIE HAWN's statuette, which she won in 1969 for her role in CACTUS FLOWER.

The young actress recalls, "We'd have these parties with all these kids, and it wasn't locked in a cabinet. We always thought somebody was going to steal it." She adds, "One time we ended up having like 500 people in our house and at the end of the night my brother and I were upstairs and he goes 'Oh my God, the Oscar!' And we go running down the stairs and thank God it was there." (ES/AB/KW)
