Cameras Roll On Britney's Film Debut

Pop princess BRITNEY SPEARS has begun filming her debut film role in the road movie WHAT ARE FRIENDS FOR.

The teen sensation is being directed by TAMRA DAVIS, who regularly works with DREW BARRYMORE and is married to BEASTIE BOY MIKE DIAMOND.

The movie, which has a budget of $10 million (£6.66 million), stars the STRONGER singer as LUCY, a high school swot, who goes on a road trip with a cheerleader and a 'badgirl'. The film will involve music, as the trio meet a musician who convinces them to follow him to Los Angeles to take part in a music competition. (ES/WNWPO/CPT)
