Hollywood star MICHAEL DOUGLAS has ditched an exclusive Scottish Highland country club as the venue for his impending wedding - because his wedding plans were leaked to the media.

The 55-year-old actor, who is set to marry Welsh beauty CATHERINE ZETA JONES following the birth of their first child DYLAN, ripped up his membership to SKIBO CASTLE after his nuptial arrangements found their way into the papers.

The old hotel and country club was favourite to host the celebrity pair's secretive ceremony after 30-year-old HIGH FIDELITY actress Catherine fell in love with the setting, after the couple visited on a golfing holiday.

Skibo has been the venue for the weddings of numerous stars including actor ROBERT CARLYLE and is a favourite golf course of the DUKE OF YORK PRINCE ANDREW, JACK NICHOLSON and SEAN CONNERY.
