HOME ALONE star MACAULAY CULKIN has been spotted enjoying a intimate dinner in the company of an older woman - his new co-star MADELINE POTTER.

The ex-child star is in London to make his stage debut in the Westend play MADAME MELVILLE - and Macaulay, recently separated from wife RACHEL MINER, was spotted dining at exclusive restaurant THE IVY - much to his annoyance.

However, a spokesperson for the troubled pint-sized star claims the meal was all part of the job. He says, "They are intensely involved in rehearsals at the moment. It is a very passionate play."

The steamy play involves a 15-year-old student learning the sexy secrets of the Kama Sutra from his teacher - with Macaulay's character stripping naked on stage.
