A series of disasters has struck the set of JACKIE CHAN and CHRIS TUCKER's RUSH HOUR 2 (2001) - causing worries that the film is jinxed.

On the first day of filming, a security guard suffered a heart attack, then special effects people set fire to some fake plants, almost destroying the set. Days later, there was an outbreak of food poisoning.

According to American tabloid THE GLOBE, SHANGHAI NOON (2000) star Chan has resorted to lighting herb smudges to "drive away evil spirits" after a crazed fan gave him a bloody nose. (RGS/TG/NFA)
