Stallone Drives To The Top


SYLVESTER STALLONE new movie DRIVEN (2001) shot to the top of the box office charts in America at the weekend with a $13 million (£8.6million) intake.

The motor-racing movie toppled BRIDGET JONES'S DIARY (2001) from the top of the charts - but SLY's reign at the top seems likely to be shortlived.

The man behind the undead Egyptian, ARNOLD VoSLOO, predicts his sequel, MUMMY RETURNS, the (2001) will rake in more than $60 million (£40 million) when it opens this weekend (04MAY01).

Meanwhile, SPY KIDS (2001), which is currently America's third biggest film has raked in a total of $93 million (£62 million) at the box office. The film had helped to make April (01) a record-breaking month in America - a $150 million (£100 million) take. (KL/WNV/ES)
