Nicole: "The Show Must Go On"

NICOLE KIDMAN is slowly recovering from the humilation she suffered when longtime husband Tom CRUISE handed her their divorce papers shortly after their separation.

And although the Australian beauty still does not know the reason for Tom's insistence, she proudly claims she is getting her life back on track. In her first interview since the split, Nicole says, "A lot of things have happened to me in the past four months which have been very difficult and this is the first time I have talked about it. "My hands are shaking."

Kidman then describes the months following her heartbreak at the hands of MISSION IMPOSSIBLE (1996) star Cruise. "
It's part of the journey of life. I'm 33 and this is what I'm dealing with," she smiles sadly. "I'm taking it all one day at a time - I don't have an overall plan. I just do my best as a mother and do my best as a woman and hope that it will be good enough. "It gave me wisdom. Anything that involves suffering and pain makes you a wiser person."

However, Nicole refuses to let Tom's rejection taint her judgment on relationships. "I'm still a romantic," she says, "I believe in destiny and I believe there is a soulmate out there for every one of us. I am determined to keep believing that." (AW/WNTMI/PDD)
